What is the load rating on the red Hammerex 90 cm tool lanyard?+
The lanyard is rated to a 6.8 kg maximum tool load, which is sized to cover the daily belt-loop hand tools carried by scaffolders, ironworkers, roofers, carpenters and climbers: hammers, ratchet spanners, podgers, tape measures, levels and pliers. The 2 cm cord pairs premium nylon and elastic with stainless steel hardware and an aluminium twist-lock carabiner. Anything above 6.8 kg should be tethered with a heavier-rated system.
Why pick the red 90 cm lanyard over the other colour options?+
Red is the most traditional scaffolder's signature colour and is highly visible against grey scaffold tube, dark belts and most site backgrounds. Many UK scaffolding firms run red lanyards across the crew as a default for the rigging team. The lanyard performs identically across all five colours; red is purely a visual choice. If you already use red Hammerex thread on the leather belt, the matching lanyard keeps the kit consistent.
How does the elastic on the lanyard reduce snagging on scaffold tube?+
At rest the lanyard pulls itself back to 90 cm, sitting tight against your belt or harness instead of dangling. When you reach for the tethered tool, the elastic stretches up to 120 cm for natural arm use. As soon as you release, it retracts cleanly. That means no loose cord catching on a coupler, no fixed-length leash pulling at your belt, and no extra slack to dangle into the work below.
What does the twist-lock aluminium carabiner attach to?+
The aluminium twist-lock carabiner clips to work belts, harness loops, work bag handles and fixed scaffold anchor points. Twist-lock means the gate cannot pop open under accidental load, which is the standard failure mode of cheap snap-only carabiners. The other end of the lanyard is an adjustable loop that ties around the tool itself, so the lanyard works with any belt-loop hand tool you carry through a shift.
Is the red Hammerex tool lanyard certified PPE for fall arrest?+
No. The 90 cm Tool Lanyard is built for tethering hand tools at height to prevent dropped-tool incidents below. It is not certified PPE for fall arrest, climbing safety, lifting personnel, or any safety-critical use involving human load. Use properly certified fall-protection equipment alongside, never instead of, the tool lanyard. The product is covered by our one-year warranty against manufacturing defects on the cord, hardware and carabiner.
Where does Hammerex ship from?+
Every Hammerex product is made in our own Yogyakarta, Indonesia factory and dispatched from there via EMS air freight. We don't drop-ship; the same workshop that stitches the leather packs and posts the order.
How long until my order is dispatched?+
Standard dispatch is within 48 hours of order confirmation, posted to EMS. Custom thread colour, custom company branding, and Pro Trade Cover orders add roughly +2 working days to dispatch because they're cut, stitched and finished to spec.
How long does Hammerex UK delivery take?+
Typical UK delivery is 5-6 working days from EMS pickup. We send tracking on dispatch. Free UK delivery is available on selected products; non-UK destinations are confirmed on WhatsApp at checkout.
Is Hammerex a new brand?+
No. Hammerex has been supplying the UK trade through wholesale distribution for over 12 years. We now sell direct from the factory so the buyer keeps the margin the distributor used to take.
Does Hammerex offer custom company branding on belts?+
Yes — most leather belts and tool pouches can be laser-printed with your company name and logo for +£10 per item. Open the "Your company brand name" slider on the product page; our admin confirms artwork with you via WhatsApp and sends a mock-up for approval before production starts.
What is the Hammerex Pro Trade Cover?+
Beyond the standard 1-year defect warranty, the Pro Trade Cover keeps your belt in service for 3 full years on the parts that wear under daily site use — re-stitching, rivet/stud replacement, buckle service, slider replacement, and leather conditioning. You post the belt to us, we fix it and post it back. You pay postage both ways; we cover all labour and materials. Unlimited claims for 3 years from delivery.
Can I get a custom thread colour on a Hammerex belt?+
Yes. Black is the house thread colour and is included free. Six other colours (Yellow, Red, Brown, Orange, Green, White) carry a small per-unit fee and add +2 working days to dispatch while we stitch your order to spec. Selectable on the product page in the "Thread colour" slider.
How do Hammerex multi-buy discounts work?+

Checkout in GBP, IDR, USD, SGD, AUD, or EUR through Hammerex multi-currency accounts. Live FX, no hidden conversion markup. Your final invoice is in your selected currency.
How are Hammerex products made?+
We use the right material for the job — different leathers across our range, faux leather, and synthetic fabrics where they outperform leather (water resistance, weight, washability). Cutting, stitching, riveting, QC and pack-out all happen under one roof in Yogyakarta. Every unit is inspected on CCTV-recorded QC before pack — no outsourced assembly, no reseller in the chain.
Do you offer wholesale or trade accounts?+
Yes. We run a distribution-partner programme with transparent pricing, protected territories and fair monthly targets — designed around real demand in your market. Retail welcomed from 30 kg mixed product orders. Apply via the Partners page on the site.
How do I track my Hammerex order?+
We send the EMS tracking number on WhatsApp the day your order is dispatched. EMS provides updates from collection through customs to your door — typical UK transit is 5-6 working days. If anything stalls, message us on WhatsApp and we'll chase EMS for you.
