What is the maximum load on the Hammerex 90 cm tool lanyard?+
The lanyard is rated to a 6.8 kg maximum tool load, which covers the everyday hand tools a scaffolder, ironworker, roofer, carpenter or climber tethers when working at height: hammers, ratchet spanners, podgers, tape measures, levels and pliers. The 2 cm cord, premium nylon and elastic construction with stainless steel hardware are sized to take real site abuse without fraying or losing the twist-lock action of the aluminium carabiner.
How does the 90 cm relaxed, 120 cm extended length work in use?+
The cord sits at 90 cm when nothing is pulling on it, keeping the lanyard tight against your belt or harness so it does not snag scaffold tube or dangle into your work. When you reach for the tool, the elastic stretches up to 120 cm, giving you the reach to use the tool naturally. As soon as you release, it pulls back to 90 cm. No loose loops to catch on standards.
What is the aluminium twist-lock carabiner attached to on the lanyard?+
The twist-lock aluminium carabiner sits at one end of the lanyard and clips to your belt, harness or fixed anchor point. The twist-lock action means the carabiner cannot accidentally pop open under load, which is the failure mode of cheaper snap-only carabiners. The other end of the lanyard is an adjustable loop that ties around the tool itself, sized to suit a wide range of belt-loop hand tools.
Why pick the black lanyard over the other colour options?+
Black is the most neutral colour in the Hammerex lanyard range, so it sits unobtrusively against work trousers, dark belts and most site PPE. Many scaffolders pick black for a clean professional look across the crew, or for personal kit they want low-key. The lanyard performs identically across all five colours; the choice is visual only. If you want to colour-code by team member, the other four colours sit alongside.
Is this Hammerex tool lanyard certified for fall arrest or life support?+
No. The 90 cm Tool Lanyard is built to tether hand tools and prevent dropped-tool incidents at height. It is not certified PPE for fall arrest, climbing safety, lifting personnel or any safety-critical application where a human is the load. Use the lanyard alongside, never instead of, properly certified fall-protection equipment. The lanyard carries our one-year warranty against manufacturing defects on the cord, carabiner and stainless hardware.
Where does Hammerex ship from?+
Every Hammerex product is made in our own Yogyakarta, Indonesia factory and dispatched from there via EMS air freight. We don't drop-ship; the same workshop that stitches the leather packs and posts the order.
How long until my order is dispatched?+
Standard dispatch is within 48 hours of order confirmation, posted to EMS. Custom thread colour, custom company branding, and Pro Trade Cover orders add roughly +2 working days to dispatch because they're cut, stitched and finished to spec.
How long does Hammerex UK delivery take?+
Typical UK delivery is 5-6 working days from EMS pickup. We send tracking on dispatch. Free UK delivery is available on selected products; non-UK destinations are confirmed on WhatsApp at checkout.
Is Hammerex a new brand?+
No. Hammerex has been supplying the UK trade through wholesale distribution for over 12 years. We now sell direct from the factory so the buyer keeps the margin the distributor used to take.
Does Hammerex offer custom company branding on belts?+
Yes — most leather belts and tool pouches can be laser-printed with your company name and logo for +£10 per item. Open the "Your company brand name" slider on the product page; our admin confirms artwork with you via WhatsApp and sends a mock-up for approval before production starts.
What is the Hammerex Pro Trade Cover?+
Beyond the standard 1-year defect warranty, the Pro Trade Cover keeps your belt in service for 3 full years on the parts that wear under daily site use — re-stitching, rivet/stud replacement, buckle service, slider replacement, and leather conditioning. You post the belt to us, we fix it and post it back. You pay postage both ways; we cover all labour and materials. Unlimited claims for 3 years from delivery.
Can I get a custom thread colour on a Hammerex belt?+
Yes. Black is the house thread colour and is included free. Six other colours (Yellow, Red, Brown, Orange, Green, White) carry a small per-unit fee and add +2 working days to dispatch while we stitch your order to spec. Selectable on the product page in the "Thread colour" slider.
How do Hammerex multi-buy discounts work?+
Buy 2 saves 10%, buy 3 saves 15% — applied automatically at the quantity step on most products. No code, no waiting. Bulk and trade pricing beyond that is available — message us via the Partners page for a territory-protected wholesale account.
What currencies can I pay in?+
Checkout in GBP, IDR, USD, SGD, AUD, or EUR through Hammerex multi-currency accounts. Live FX, no hidden conversion markup. Your final invoice is in your selected currency.
How are Hammerex products made?+
We use the right material for the job — different leathers across our range, faux leather, and synthetic fabrics where they outperform leather (water resistance, weight, washability). Cutting, stitching, riveting, QC and pack-out all happen under one roof in Yogyakarta. Every unit is inspected on CCTV-recorded QC before pack — no outsourced assembly, no reseller in the chain.
Do you offer wholesale or trade accounts?+
Yes. We run a distribution-partner programme with transparent pricing, protected territories and fair monthly targets — designed around real demand in your market. Retail welcomed from 30 kg mixed product orders. Apply via the Partners page on the site.
How do I track my Hammerex order?+
We send the EMS tracking number on WhatsApp the day your order is dispatched. EMS provides updates from collection through customs to your door — typical UK transit is 5-6 working days. If anything stalls, message us on WhatsApp and we'll chase EMS for you.
