The pouch holds between 12 and 24 seed packets depending on how thick each one is. Standard British seed packets sit comfortably in the mesh pockets so you can read the labels at a glance. Larger bulb packets take more space, so you fit fewer of those. The mesh pockets keep packets visible without letting them fall out when you carry the pouch upside down. Size is 25 by 18 by 4 cm, about 250 g empty.
It is. The 1680D polyester body with PVC backing shields the seeds from light and casual moisture, and the 210D polyester lining keeps the inside clean. For winter storage we suggest keeping the pouch in a cool, dry cupboard rather than a damp shed, because no fabric pouch fully blocks humidity. Add a small silica gel sachet inside the pouch if you live somewhere damp, and your seed viability will be much better the next spring.
The two-way wrap-around zipper runs across three sides of the pouch, so it opens flat like a book rather than gaping at the top. That makes it much easier to lay out on a potting bench and see every packet at once. Two zip pulls let you start the opening from either side, which works well one-handed when your other hand is muddy. The zipper is the heavy-duty type, not a lightweight clothing zip.
The outer body is water resistant, so a quick walk in light rain will not soak the seed packets inside. We would still suggest closing the zipper fully before stepping out and not leaving the pouch sitting open on a wet bench. For heavy rain put the pouch inside the Garden Tool Tote or under a coat. Once back indoors, wipe the outside dry and unzip the pouch to let any humid air out before storing.
