Will the Hammerex shears belt holder fit a standard pair of bypass pruning shears?+
Yes. The holder is shaped to fit standard pruning shears and cutters such as the Hammerex 8-inch pruning shears, with the leather sheath wrapping the blade and the soft-close snap button holding the handles. The leather walls protect the blade from chipping in transit and protect you from the blade when reaching for other tools. If your shears are unusually long-handled, message us on WhatsApp with the model and we will check the fit.
How wide a belt will the holder loop fit over?+
The belt loop is sized to fit belts up to 60 mm (6 cm) wide. That covers virtually every standard work belt and most garden tool belts including the Hammerex Garden Tool Belt. If your belt is wider than 60 mm the loop will not pass over it, so check the buckle width before ordering. The loop is stitched with the same reinforced thread used on the body of the holder.
Is the leather treated or will it stiffen in the rain?+
The holder is made from premium leather without a heavy synthetic coating, so it will darken if it gets soaked through rather than staying matte black. To keep it supple, wipe it dry at the end of a wet day and treat it occasionally with a leather conditioner. Treated this way, the leather softens and ages well rather than cracking. If you work mostly in wet conditions, an occasional waxing extends the life of the holder.
Does the snap button hold the shears securely when climbing a ladder?+
Yes. The soft-close snap button is sized so the shears do not jiggle out of the holder when you climb a ladder or move between trees in an orchard. The leather sheath grips the blade as well, so even with the button open the shears do not fall straight out. Most of our orchard and grounds-keeping customers buy the holder specifically because they need the shears to stay put at height.
Is this holder suitable for arborists working at height in trees as well as ground gardening?+
It is. We designed the holder for gardeners, landscapers, orchard workers and arborists in mind. The leather sheath protects the blade during climbing, the snap closure stops accidental drops, and the belt loop fits the wide trade belts most arborists wear. If you carry heavier loppers as well, those want a dedicated holster as the shape is different. The pruning-shears holder is one year warrantied on stitching and snap.
Where does Hammerex ship from?+
Every Hammerex product is made in our own Yogyakarta, Indonesia factory and dispatched from there via EMS air freight. We don't drop-ship; the same workshop that stitches the leather packs and posts the order.
How long until my order is dispatched?+
Standard dispatch is within 48 hours of order confirmation, posted to EMS. Custom thread colour, custom company branding, and Pro Trade Cover orders add roughly +2 working days to dispatch because they're cut, stitched and finished to spec.
How long does Hammerex UK delivery take?+
Typical UK delivery is 5-6 working days from EMS pickup. We send tracking on dispatch. Free UK delivery is available on selected products; non-UK destinations are confirmed on WhatsApp at checkout.
Is Hammerex a new brand?+
No. Hammerex has been supplying the UK trade through wholesale distribution for over 12 years. We now sell direct from the factory so the buyer keeps the margin the distributor used to take.
Does Hammerex offer custom company branding on belts?+
Yes — most leather belts and tool pouches can be laser-printed with your company name and logo for +£10 per item. Open the "Your company brand name" slider on the product page; our admin confirms artwork with you via WhatsApp and sends a mock-up for approval before production starts.
What is the Hammerex Pro Trade Cover?+
Beyond the standard 1-year defect warranty, the Pro Trade Cover keeps your belt in service for 3 full years on the parts that wear under daily site use — re-stitching, rivet/stud replacement, buckle service, slider replacement, and leather conditioning. You post the belt to us, we fix it and post it back. You pay postage both ways; we cover all labour and materials. Unlimited claims for 3 years from delivery.
Can I get a custom thread colour on a Hammerex belt?+
Yes. Black is the house thread colour and is included free. Six other colours (Yellow, Red, Brown, Orange, Green, White) carry a small per-unit fee and add +2 working days to dispatch while we stitch your order to spec. Selectable on the product page in the "Thread colour" slider.
How do Hammerex multi-buy discounts work?+
Buy 2 saves 10%, buy 3 saves 15% — applied automatically at the quantity step on most products. No code, no waiting. Bulk and trade pricing beyond that is available — message us via the Partners page for a territory-protected wholesale account.
What currencies can I pay in?+
Checkout in GBP, IDR, USD, SGD, AUD, or EUR through Hammerex multi-currency accounts. Live FX, no hidden conversion markup. Your final invoice is in your selected currency.
How are Hammerex products made?+
We use the right material for the job — different leathers across our range, faux leather, and synthetic fabrics where they outperform leather (water resistance, weight, washability). Cutting, stitching, riveting, QC and pack-out all happen under one roof in Yogyakarta. Every unit is inspected on CCTV-recorded QC before pack — no outsourced assembly, no reseller in the chain.
Do you offer wholesale or trade accounts?+
Yes. We run a distribution-partner programme with transparent pricing, protected territories and fair monthly targets — designed around real demand in your market. Retail welcomed from 30 kg mixed product orders. Apply via the Partners page on the site.
How do I track my Hammerex order?+
We send the EMS tracking number on WhatsApp the day your order is dispatched. EMS provides updates from collection through customs to your door — typical UK transit is 5-6 working days. If anything stalls, message us on WhatsApp and we'll chase EMS for you.
